Now that his kids are in school full time he has opened his retail location at Ken`s Korner Shopping Center in Clinton. John has been a professional cake artist since 1992 and truely loves what he does.

Prior to starting J.W.Desserts he owned "John & Mike's Amazing Cakes" in Redmond, WA, now owned by Mike McCarey. Allison of Scarlet Blooms

I received my bachelor of fine arts in printmaking from the University of Washington.  Through my love of art and gardening I found a passion for floral design.  My experience with various artistic media has helped shape my unique design style.

My floral career started nine years ago working at a flower shop in Portland Oregon. Shortly there after, I had the opportunity to be the creative force behind a new flower shop in Vancouver Washington, where I started designing for large scale weddings and events.  Life led me to Seattle where I found work at the Floral Design Institute assisting and teaching. In 2006 I started as the lead designer at The Ruins.  While there I have refined my design skills with events ranging from intimate dinner parties to weddings featured in Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom magazine.
