ULTIMATE Wedding Stationery Timeline

"Wedding Stationery Timeline from save the dates to thank you cards" is a Guest Post from Weddings in Woodinville Partners Songbird Paperie

Finally, the infographic you have all been waiting for!

The Ultimate Timeline for Wedding Stationery

We here at Songbird are so paper-obsessed and in love with weddings AND good design. So, we created this handy dandy infographic to help you figure out when to order what, and when to send what!

Wedding Stationary Timeline

You're Engaged!

Find your stationery designer and calligrapher. Luckily, that's us all in one! Contact erica@songbirdpaperie.com to set up a free wedding stationery & calligraphy consultation!

12-6 Months Before Your Wedding

Order Save the Date announcements and Thank You cards. You should send thank you cards as gifts come in. Trust us. You'll be happy you kept up with it early because the thank you list does start to pile up fast!

6-8 Months Before

Mail Save the Date announcements. If you're having a destination wedding (say, in Jamaica, Paris or in a part of the country where most of the guests will be travelling to by plane), mail them out as soon as you've set a date and venue to maximize the time your guests will have to book accommodations!

4-5 Months Before

Start the design process with your for wedding, rehearsal dinner and day-after brunch invitations. Decide on an envelope color as soon as possible in order to get the envelopes to your calligrapher ASAP. Songbird requires 1 week per 100 envelopes, but during the busy season, our turnaround time may increase!

10-8 Weeks Before

Deliver invitation envelopes to your calligrapher. Double check turnaround time with them to ensure you don't pay a rush fee to get them done in time.

6-8 Weeks Before

Mail all the invitations! Order programs, menu cards, table numbers, place cards, favor cards, signage and other stationery for the big day.

3 Weeks Before

Finalize seating assignments for your calligrapher & escort/place cards. Prepare thank you cards for your vendors! (Order more cards from your stationer if necessary.) Ask your wedding planner, or recruit a bridesmaid, to deliver the thank you cards on the day of your wedding (or when you receive the final products)!

2-3 Weeks Before

Guests should have sent in their RSVP cards by now. If not, now's the time to hunt down the non-responders!

1 Week Before

Pack a complete wedding invitation in your wedding day to-go-bag for your photographer to capture along with the other wedding details!

The BIG DAY

Get married! In the morning, write a note or card to your future spouse. It will become a cherished love letter for generations to come :)

2 Weeks After Your Wedding

Mail "we got married!" announcements, if desired. (You may order these through your stationery designer as well!)

1 Month After

Make sure all off your thank you cards are mailed out and cheers to your first month as a married couple!

NW Golden Delicious Wedding

Willows Lodge 2017 Weddings in Woodinville recap from Event Success

" 'NW Golden Delicious' theme for WIW 2017 at Willows Lodge was easy as pie!

Event Success put together a wonderful team at Willows Lodge. "We had fun playing off the theme and apples were a fun NW item for the design", says Jacky Grotle owner of Event Success.

The photoshoot was just prior to the showcase where La Vie Photography "worked their magic" in capturing it all in their lovely images.

The fashion team included Nordstrom Wedding Suite, The Tuxedo Club, SHOLDT jewelers and Off White Beauty.

Signage and print material was made by Impress Ink. Event Success and Countryside Floral created a wonderful ceremony area with an oversized wreath, lighting, apple garlands and ferns that went perfectly with the wine barrels and Willows Lodge's natural ceremony garden backdrop. Guests enjoyed tasty hors d'oeuvres from Barking Frog (including Apple Fritters with a Cinnamon Yogurt dip & of course their signature Grand Marnier Prawns were among the selection) and sipped Locust Cider or Matthews wine. Taking the cake or rather offering the cake tasting was New Renaissance Cakes.

The feature table with it's five foot tall centerpiece was a show stopper.  Guests looked around the table to see Petersen's Rentals & favors from Knack.  Wonderful music from Bamboo Beats played in the background and lighting from Greenlight Design was the perfect added touch. Guests enjoyed talking to all the vendors including officiant Mary Calhoun and video team Traveling Tiger Productions.

Mini facials and hand massages were offered to guests from Willow's Lodge Spa team.

Fun was had by all!" - Jacky Grotle, Event Success

TEAL AND GOLD NORTHWEST VINEYARD WEDDING INSPIRATION: Northwest Vineyard Wedding

With varying shades of teal bridesmaids dresses, a kissing booth, and live tree wedding favors, this DeLille Cellars wedding has so much Northwest to love.

From Rebecca Grant, wedding planner at New Creations Weddings - Taking cue from the gorgeous natural scenery of DeLille Cellars, the couple opted to keep the color palette grounded in shades of blue, greens and whites. Danielle and Rob provided special touches such as the live pine trees which doubled as escort cards.  There were also surprises for the guests all through the evening with a kissing booth (which Rob made himself), Gonzaga flag that came out during dancing (a nod to their alma mater), a cotton candy buffet, and a balloon release! This DeLille Cellars wedding has so much Northwest to love!

From Jaffrey Bagge, caterer at Twelve Baksets Catering - Rob and Danielle decided to have an Italian and Northwest fusion menu which fit the family and setting beautifully! From tray passed mini antipasto skewers and pear gorganzola crostini to cedar wrapped salmon and chicken picatta seated dinner, it was a perfect feast for the occasion. Our vintage mismatched china settings looked so elegant next to the little pine tree escort cards.

MEET UNIFIED CINEMATIC VIDEOGRAPHY AND LEARN WHY A PICTURE IS WORTH A 1000 WORDS AND A VIDEO... PRICELESS

You've heard brides say it - "the day was a blur" or  "it went by too fast", or "what? I missed grandpa dabbing on the dance floor?!" - these are just a few of the reasons why having a videographer at your wedding should be on your list of required vendors. While beautiful photographs capture a certain element of your wedding day, there's nothing like being able to look back and actually see and hear your father's toast or the serenade your fiance sang for you during the reception.

We're thrilled Unified Cinematic Videography will be showcasing their incredible video talents at The Hollywood Schoolhouse this year during the tour! Check out some of their work here and meet Michael Sunday, January 29th, 2017!

If those gorgeous teasers don't convince you, read what these happy couples had to say about their wedding video:

"We LOVED the video! You did an amazing job and captured so many wonderful moments of the day! It was fun to watch and relive everything because I was definitely on an emotional high! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" -Lindsey

"Michael is truly an artist. He did such a fantastic job capturing our wedding day and I couldn't be happier with the final product! I didn't know what to expect when hiring a videographer, but Michael's professionalism and creativity blew me away." -Emily

HAUTE BOHEME WEDDING INSPIRATION AT JM CELLARS DURING WEDDINGS IN WOODINVILLE 2017

We're excited to annouce the final Weddings in Woodinville 2017 venue theme! On Sunday, January 29, 2017 see how Melody Davis, MG Davis Events and her hand-picked team of wedding vendors enhance JM Cellars into a "Haute Bohème" inspired wedding.

Haute Bohème

This year at JM Cellars MG Davis Events presents Haute Bohème – a departure from the constraints of the modern world. In the style of eccentric French aristocrats fascinated by the bohemian way of life, we will feature an eclectic collection of ideas for you to consider.

Take in rich time-worn textiles and lush flowers in a mix of pinks and lush greens pared with vintage European furniture and a few surprises from the Far East.   Haute Bohème will inspire you to express your adventurous, carefree spirit!
