A look into the Wit & Whimsy at Novelty Hill-Januik by Kirstie Warren of Simply Wed

Novelty Hill-Januik Winery radiates modern contemporary design style through and through. Working in harmony with the natural materials such as concrete, glass and wood that make up Novelty Hill-Januik, Kirstie Warren of Simply Wed, created a Vintage-Mod environment that perfectly complemented the structures inviting atmosphere.  Punches of bright Poppy, Aqua and Marigold, filled the spaces within with such a welcoming, fun, feeling that one could not help but be pulled into the feeling of pure joy that every bride wishes for her guests to share in.

Here are a few highlights taken by Mode Wedding Photography of the event:
The Terrace Room set up for a ceremony and dinner to follow.  Don't you just love the popcorn machine in the background!  Fresh popped popcorn for your wedding guests while they wait for the big event to start?  Yes, please!

Photographer

Mode Wedding Photography

A little bit about us -

Our philosophy:   You're getting married - it's supposed to be fun! :)

Our approach:    We (Erin + Bill) are a two person photography team.  We start early on your wedding day, capturing images while you and your fiance are getting dressed and ready, and all the way through your day. The goal of our relaxed, unhurried approach is to allow you time during your day to breathe and have fun with your closest friends and family, and to enjoy a day that's about creating memories as opposed to a day that's about meeting schedules :)  The resulting collection of images will not only tell the story of your day, but will also celebrate your relationships - between you and your fiance, and between the two of you and the people that mean the most to you.  We're all about capturing your natural smiles and personalities, and images that truly reflect who you are.

From our fun, double-date style engagement sessions to our private gallery screenings, you'll find that we are passionate about providing more than a service and product package - we believe your wedding photography should be an experience - designed to be enjoyable from our first conversation, through your planning process,  to your big day, and right up through the moment you first turn the pages of your luxurious, handmade, leather bound wedding album, to relive the story of your day.

OK... that's enough about us - we'd love the chance to get to know you and your best friend! :) Let's get together and chat - we're excited to hear more about the plans you've made so far!

Novelty Hill/Januik Winery & Vendors

Novelty Hill • Januik Winery

Novelty Hill 1Novelty Hill • Januik Winery – is two wineries under one winemaker, Mike Januik.  He is known as “Master of Merlot” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and was at Ste Michelle for many years and left that to start his own winery in 1999.  So I was very excited to see the winery open and then to find out they were going to open it up for weddings, I was thrilled.  In 2008 both the AIA and the International Interior Design Association honored the winery’s interior architecture with prestigious awards.  As you see in the pictures it is a contemporary/modern space.

Here is what they say about themselves – “Novelty Hill • Januik Winery is an ideal location for a contemporary, intimate wedding celebration. From casual to elegant, our staff specializes in creating rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions that reflect the unique personality of each bride and groom.”

Novelty Hill 2The food is another unforgettable experience, Chef Dan Koommoo is dedicated to fresh cuisine from sustainable resources, including organic fruits and vegetables from nearby Oxbow Farm, designed to complement Novelty Hill’s and Januik’s award-winning wines.  The menus are changed seasonally to reflect what is available and custom menus are available for your special day.  Speaking with experience this is the case, the staff truly loves to see the couple have an unforgettable experience and become a part of the Novelty Hill • Januik Winery family.

They are open daily from 11am to 5pm for wine tasting and on the weekends they do have brick oven working overtime with fabulous homemade pizzas.  So stop by for a glass of wine or two and a pizza and take a look around.  If it is nice outside the Novelty Hill 3bocce balls will be ready.
