Matthews Estate

Matthews strives to produce wines that show the incredible diversity of Washington State. From our classic Cabernet Sauvignon driven reds, to our revered Sauvignon Blanc.

Columbia Valley Claret

The Claret for Matthews has always filled the traditional role of a second selection wine in a winery with a flagship blend. The Claret is traditionally focused more on elegance than on structure, like the Red Wine. The Claret has always been a tremendous value for our customers. Showing clean ripe fruit and a much more modest oak program, the Matthews Claret leads a segment of value driven every day wines.

Columbia Valley Red Wine

Every winery has a flagship wine, and at Matthews this is it. Made almost always of the five traditional Bordeaux varietals, the Red Wine has consistently been the insiders standard for Cabernet Sauvignon based blends in Washington. The goal has always been to produce the best possible wine in every vintage, believing that the blend will always create the most complete wine. There have been vintages in which the Red Wine didn't exist- only because those vintages did not meet our rigorous standards.

Dusted Valley Winery

Dusted Valley was founded on the notion that when family pulls together the American Dream can turn into a living reality.  They describe themselves as a proud bunch of farm-raised Wisconsin Cheese-Heads.  And what goes well with cheese??? It's all about the wine.

Dusted Valley came about after many inspiring experiences with wine, wonderful food, and of course incredible friends and family. When Chad and Corey decided to begin making wine, they pledged to do it right and thus began the quest for the best fruit and vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley and beyond. The families moved to Walla Walla in 2003, and today the family is producing some spectacular wines from its 4,000 case operation.  They have become vineyard focused and farm nearly 100 acres of vineyard in Walla Walla.  In addition, they have begun a unique barrel project with the use of extra-tight-grained Wisconsin Oak harvested from lands they grew up around!

Bella Umbrella

As a long-time student and collector of umbrellas, Seattle's Jodell Egbert's vintage collections were the nucleus around which she began Bella Umbrella. Her venture is now the largest source of vintage and vintage styled umbrellas in the world.

As a soon to be bride and floral designer, Jodell wanted to do something distinctive instead of renting a traditional white tent for her outdoor wedding ceremony. She procured 75 vintage umbrellas for her guests in the event there were showers on her wedding day. Each guest would be offered a beautiful umbrella from the 1920' s-1940. Later the umbrellas would create a brilliant backdrop to the happy day. It was the beginning of a beautiful marriage in more ways than one. Continuing to collect umbrellas, Jodell launched the Bella Umbrella website in 2001.

Her personal collection of 100 vintage umbrellas was now available for rent to brides all over the world. Since then Jodell has designed and developed two unique umbrella collections; Vintage Bella and Signature Bella as well as inventing and patenting the Bixi; an adaptor that quickly converts a Signature Bella umbrella handle into a stunning bouquet holder.

Novelty Hill/Januik Winery & Vendors

Novelty Hill • Januik Winery

Novelty Hill 1Novelty Hill • Januik Winery – is two wineries under one winemaker, Mike Januik.  He is known as “Master of Merlot” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and was at Ste Michelle for many years and left that to start his own winery in 1999.  So I was very excited to see the winery open and then to find out they were going to open it up for weddings, I was thrilled.  In 2008 both the AIA and the International Interior Design Association honored the winery’s interior architecture with prestigious awards.  As you see in the pictures it is a contemporary/modern space.

Here is what they say about themselves – “Novelty Hill • Januik Winery is an ideal location for a contemporary, intimate wedding celebration. From casual to elegant, our staff specializes in creating rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions that reflect the unique personality of each bride and groom.”

Novelty Hill 2The food is another unforgettable experience, Chef Dan Koommoo is dedicated to fresh cuisine from sustainable resources, including organic fruits and vegetables from nearby Oxbow Farm, designed to complement Novelty Hill’s and Januik’s award-winning wines.  The menus are changed seasonally to reflect what is available and custom menus are available for your special day.  Speaking with experience this is the case, the staff truly loves to see the couple have an unforgettable experience and become a part of the Novelty Hill • Januik Winery family.

They are open daily from 11am to 5pm for wine tasting and on the weekends they do have brick oven working overtime with fabulous homemade pizzas.  So stop by for a glass of wine or two and a pizza and take a look around.  If it is nice outside the Novelty Hill 3bocce balls will be ready.
