“The intimate gathering places and beautiful natural surroundings of JM Cellars, inspires our creation of a wedding theme reminiscent of the historic Spanish settlements of California. Central to our inspiration is the importance of family and community, and the rich traditions passed down through generations. Our colors, a mixture of browns, ambers, saffron and sapphire blue, are used throughout the ceremony, and reception areas. Textiles, as well as old world glass and pottery artfully display the use of culinary herbs, vines, and olive branches. A grand communal table under a custom designed gilted chandelier, offers elegance amid the intimacy of a roving Spanish guitarist.” Melody Davis

Blushing Baroques at Novelty Hill-Januik Winery

So we are so excited to introduce the first in the reveal of Weddings in Woodinville 2013 venue themes with the theme from Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, imagined and produced with many talented vendors lead by wedding planner Jennifer Taylor, of Taylor’d Events by Jennifer as…. Blushing Baroque. 

“Bringing in the gilded age from the Baroque era into the modern space of Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, is quite the contrast of design, but I’m confident this marriage of opposites will excite & inspire you.  My inspiration came from a meeting with Event Designers Viki & Deb of Ryan Wentzel Events and their seductive black velvet bar height bench with gold legs (that they had just used at Bellevue Fashion Week).  At first glimmering sight, I knew that I had found my inspiration and had to use them for Weddings in Woodinville.  Since it was love at first sight, I took to the power of Pinterest and found fun colors (that you see below, black, gold, hot pink and coral) to complete my dream for Novelty Hill-Januik Winery for the 2013 Weddings in Woodinville tour.   With these benches and other design aspects, I not only will enchant and captivate couples, I will show them that you don’t have to have the typical round tables for your reception, but that you can do variations of rounds, square and rectangular tables to at another dimension of depth to your room. “  Jennifer Taylor
