Get Hitched Give(s) Hope

Get Hitched Give Hope is the premier Seattle wedding event that brings dozens of Seattle’s best wedding vendors together to meet & mingle with prospective brides while raising money for The Dream Foundation and Young Survival Coalition Seattle.  Held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the beautiful Four Seasons in Seattle, GHGH was a huge success raising over $84,000.   

Get Hitched Give Hope began over a bottle of wine (something we who call Woodinville Wine Country home can relate too) among 7 entrepreneuring women, Michelle Lorette of Mmm… paper, Barbie Hull of Barbie Hull Photography, Laura McConnell of Laurel McConnell Photography, Eliza Truitt of Eliza Truitt Photography, Kelly Simants of Sweet Pea Events, Michelle Engvall of Married with Michelle & Keri Cooper of Bliss Events NW, back in 2007.

GHGH Swag Bags provided by Weddings in Woodinville - Photo by La Vie PhotographyEach participating vendor donated an item or a service for raffle or auction, with all proceeds going to GHGH’s chosen charities, the Dream Foundation and Young Survival Coalition Seattle.  The Dream Foundation grants final wishes for adults facing a terminal disease, allowing them a last chance to bond with family members and create special, lasting memories together. The Young Survival Coalition Seattle provides support and hope for young women living with breast cancer.  Weddings in Woodinville was honored to donate our swag bags towards the cause and many of our board members and vendors donated their time & services towards this truly amazing event.
