Join Columbia Winery for the Sounds of Bet Williams & John Hodian with Delicious Wine and Food!

Family Circus Tour

On Sunday, April1 12, 2015, Columbia Winery will host world traveling musicians Bet Williams, John Hodian and their son Jack at the winery’s Woodinville tasting room for an afternoon of delicious food, wine and live music during their stop in Woodinville, Washington for their Family Circus Tour.

From ancient monasteries in Armenia to music festivals throughout Europe, Bet Williams and John Hodian have been creating and performing music together for over 20 years. With the world music ensemble “Epiphany Project,” the blues-based “Bet Williams Band” and the Armenian classical music group “Naghash Ensemble,” these two artists have created a vast quilt of influences and inspirations with their unique music.

With influences ranging from Qawwali devotional songs and  Appalachian Folk to acoustic blues and Tuvan throat singing, Bet Williams uses her voice in an endless number of ways. John Hodian’s piano playing features hauntingly beautiful melodies, intricate rhythms and a soulful intensity, reflecting his Armenian roots and his affinity for improvisation. John & Bet’s young son Jack Hodian is familiar with the music of all three ensembles and brings to it everything from intricate patterns on hand percussion to the thunderous support of a full drum set.

The performance will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 12. For more information, please contact Jessica Tourtillotte at Jessica.tourtillotte@columbiawinery.com.
