Luly Yang, the Northwest's most prestigious fashion couture house specializing in evening and bridal wear

Luly Yang began creating Couture gowns in her Seattle-based studio in 2000. Her creative and unique inspirations keep Seattle waiting in anticipation for the debut of each collection, and her cheerful blue windows charm local and international visitors with her elegant displays. Seattle Bride Magazine has named her as the Best Couture Dress Designer for eight consecutive years, and in 2007 she received the prestigious Nellie Cashman Woman Business Owner of the Year Award. In 2010, Luly was honored to be one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s Women of Influence, an award recognizing local women for outstanding business and philanthropic contributions to the Puget Sound community.
Born in Taiwan, Luly was introduced to the arts and fine garment creation by her mother and grandmother. Her family includes many artists, engineers, architects and designers, which led to her affinity for precise and detailed design at an early age. Her formal study includes a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Washington, where she acquired the fundamentals of perfect and timeless design. This, coupled with 10 years in the architecture field and years of experience as a certified fitness instructor, gives her the foundations to sculpt fabric into sumptuous creations. "The woman and her body are the soul of the design," she explains, and always credits her clients as her biggest source of inspiration.
Luly's annual Couture runway collection features more then 80 new evening and cocktail looks for the upcoming year. She also introduces a Bridal collection every October, consisting of over 40 gorgeous gowns. The reach of her creativity does not stop with the garments and her clients; her shows have benefited non-profit organizations like Camp Korey and Seattle Children's Hospital, raising awareness and funding for their tireless work to aid children. Luly was also the presenting artist for the 2010 Providence O'Christmas Trees event, benefiting Providence Senior and Community Services. She is honored to serve her community through art and design. "Good Design can bring about social and environmental change. Being surrounded by beautiful things evokes positive emotions. This in turn encourages us to live better and be better. My dream is to create a magical place for our guests, ourselves and our community."
