Wedding Planning Tips: Wedding Invitations

Seattle wedding and event planner, Jacky Grotle of Event Success, gives her clients the following advice when it comes to wedding invitations: “your wedding should represent your interests and personality.” 

For example, Event Success’ client Linda & Lee’s custom invitations seen below are the perfect example of how to use this advice and make it tactile. Jacky tries to learn about her clients before proceeding with wedding planning; although the personalized elements are not always immediately apparent, as no two weddings are exactly alike; but upon learning about Lee’s photomicrography of crystals (from such elements as wine), Jacky, knew that she had to include it in their wedding design, somehow.  Event Success and Merchants Paper and Design ended up using Lee’s artwork, titled “Iris”, in the creation of a custom wedding invitation. Upon viewing the sample proof the bride cried tears of joy as she could not believe how lovely and personal her invitation had turned out.  As a surprise, Linda brought home the mock-up and shared a moment with her fiancé that set the tone that their celebration was going to be extraordinary!

"Cloud Garden" at Willows Lodge

Our wedding planners this year will introduced you to "Geometric Dreams", "Fresh", "Green & Gorgeous", "Mi Media Naranja"  and "Sparkling Elegance"  and now we are excited to introduce the final theme for this years Weddings in Woodinville Tour.  Wendi Hroncich of Ethereal Events, and her hand-picked team of vendors, will be creating a "Cloud Garden" at Willows Lodge.

"Our theme 'Cloud Garden' is inspired by the ethereal light filtered through the windows and gardens at Willows. We want to exude light and dreaminess both in visual effect and in the feeling our guests will experience. The palette is comprised of whites, warm greys, and natural wood tones for a cohesive palette that will allow our guests to focus on the details and cohesiveness of the design. Pops of deep turquoise and pear will add interest here and there. The Cloud Garden theme is whimsical but elegant, fantastical but connected. We want our guests to feel that they are in a place where wonderful, surprising things happen.
