Mode Photography, photography for best friends in love

Looking for a fun couple to double date with?  The husband and wife team, that is Mode Wedding Photography, are those fun couple.  They even plan the date with their double-date style engagement sessions!

Here’s a little more on them:

Our philosophy:     You're getting married - it's supposed to be fun! :)

Your day:     We (Erin + Bill) are a two person photography team.  We start early on your wedding day, capturing images while you and your fiance are getting dressed and ready, and all the way through your day. The goal of our relaxed, unhurried approach is to allow you time during your day to breathe and have fun with your closest friends and family, and to enjoy a day that's about creating memories as opposed to a day that's about meeting schedules :)  The resulting collection of images will not only tell the story of your day, but will also celebrate your relationships - between you and your fiance, and between the two of you and the people that mean the most to you.  We're all about capturing your natural smiles and personalities, and images that truly reflect who you are.

From our fun, double-date style engagement sessions to our private gallery screenings, you'll find that we are passionate about providing more than a service and product package - we believe your wedding photography should be an experience - designed to be enjoyable from our first conversation, through your planning process,  to your big day, and right up through the moment you first turn the pages of your luxurious, handmade, leather bound wedding album, to relive the story of your day.

We're excited! :    Winner, WeddingWire Bride's Choice Awards 2012, Published in The Knot (2012)

OK... that's enough about us - we'd love the chance to get to know you and your best friend! :) Let's get together and chat - we're excited to hear more about the plans you've made so far!

Mode Wedding Photography-Photography for best friends in loveMode Wedding Photography will be featured Woodhouse Wine Estates during Weddings in Woodinville on January 29, 2012.

How to make the most out of your experience during Weddings in Woodinville

The tour is almost here and our vendors have been busy creating the most memorable wedding show experience for you!

Here are a few tips on how to make the most out of our show & what you can expect:

- Dress for the Northwest!  As unpredictable as our weather is, please plan on experiencing all the seasons during the tour.  Many of the venues have outdoor spaces decorated for you to experience the entire venue and although they all offer covering and heaters (thanks to our fantastic rental companies who know how to plan for our wet weather better than anyone) it still can get cold so please bring a jacket, scarf and walking shoes that can hold up to the many surfaces you’ll experience between the venues which ranges from loose gravel to paved concrete.

- No need to create a list of who to see as our tour is designed to give you ample time at each venue (transportation is designed to take you to each venue during the 4+ hour tour) to meet & greet all the vendors.

- Be sure to take a program at registration.  Each venue will offer their own program that will highlight the vendors you will see at that location but the main program is a fantastic reference guide for future use that lists the over 100 vendors total who participated in the show.

- The tour is a wedding show but we’ve thrown in a wine tour to make the experience even more fun!  Local Woodinville wines will be served at every venue. So please bring your ID.  Since we do serve wine at each location, this is a 21 and older event.  Wine will also be available to purchase at each winery if you can’t leave without getting a bottle (or 2) for later.

- Every vendor in our show offers a product or service that directly relates to your wedding day. There are no unrelated companies.

- Be tech ready.  Download a QR code reader (for more information on QR Codes read our blog Why you need a QR Code {& what they are} to enhance your experience at Weddings in Woodinville) to your Smartphone and be on the look out at each vendor’s table for those checkered blocks.  Many of our vendors are offering discounts, specials or freebies.

- Tangerine Tango is the color for 2012.  Be sure to check out Jacky Grotle of Event Success, planner for DeLille Cellars, inspiration on the color for weddings this season with her V-E-G (Vibrant Elegant Garden) décor.

- Curious what the latest wedding trends are?  After reception bites is just one of them that you will experience at Weddings in Woodinville.  Molly Moon's (yes, the scrumptious local homemade ice-creamery that is worth the line down the block to get) will be serving scoops so you will finish the show with two full hands… one for the ice cream and the other full of all the materials and goodies you’ve picked up along the tour.

- Forget bringing a pen to write your name & email address 20 times for those vendors you would like more information from.  Bring already printed out labels with your name, email and wedding date.

- You will not be hungry after our tour!  Each venue will have a full-range of appetizers, passed bites and sweets for you to munch on.  Between the 7 venues we have 15 caterers ready to serve you multiple adventures in culinary excellence and even the fantastic team at Espresso Elegance ready to keep you caffeinated.

- Don’t leave without visiting with the team at Banquet & Event Resource Inc. (at Woodhouse Wine Estates) for your Wedding Resource Guide.  This book isn’t called the “bridal bible” for nothing!

- Visit with our additonal media sponsors, Seattle Bride Magazine & Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom Magazine at Willows Lodge & DeLille Cellars respectively for your complimentary copy of their latest issues.  The pages are overflowing with inspiration and many of the vendors you will have met are featured in their pages.  (Be sure to check out Melody Davis of MG Davis Events, planner for JM Cellars, in the "Ring’s" section of Seattle Bride and Vintage Ambiance (also at JM Cellars) in the "Real Weddings" section of Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom.

- Parking is FREE!  There is plenty of free parking available at Woodhouse Wine Estates and Butler Valet will be on hand to help direct you to the perfect spot.

Meet the "ultimate Woodinville Wedding Expert", Jennifer Taylor of Taylor'd Events by Jennifer

Meeting with one of our founding board members, Jennnifer Taylor of Taylor'd Events by Jennifer, is like spending the day with one of your best girlfriends.... the one with the best advice AND jewerly!  Here's what we learned about this life-long Woodinville resident (yes, this is just one of the reasons she's the "Ultimate Woodinville Wedding Expert"!)

Jennifer Taylor of Taylor'd Events by Jennifer

I founded Taylor’d Events by Jennifer in 2005. After 12 years in corporate management, I made a personal choice and decided to utilize my organizational skills in the venue of event and wedding planning. Since that time I have orchestrated numerous events ranging from small intimate gatherings to large weddings.  I am also an educator, in 2010 taught wedding planning to up and coming planners at Everett Community College.

The locales of these events were as diversified in nature as the events themselves, from a farm on Whidbey Island, to a private residence on Mercer Island to banquet facilities throughout the Seattle area. In addition to weddings and receptions, I have spearheaded events such as the 2011 Emerald City Applause Awards presented by the Seattle Chapter of the International Society of Event Specialist, which awards the Event Industry in Seattle, and is a Founding Board Member of Weddings in Woodinville.

I have been honored to be awarded the Brides Choice award from Wedding Wire in 2010 and 2011 and Best “Day of Wedding” coordinator by Seattle Bride Magazine in 2010 and in 2011 was named one of the top 3 in the same category.

Some personal details, I graduated from Woodinville High School, my family has been in the Woodinville area going on 90 years, so I know Woodinville.  My favorite places are Maui, and Ocean Shores (destination weddings!).  I love Frango Mint Chocolates (Seattle Frangos, not Chicago Frangos), Salted Carmel Mochas, a good glass of red wine and a great steak.

Come meet Jennifer and experience for yourself her award-winning style at Novelty Hill - Januik Winery and Woodhouse Wine Estates during Weddings in Woodinville on January 29th, 2012.

There's something about Mary.... Reverend Mary Calhoun of Window to the Soul Ministry

Yes, we did… we shamelessly stole from the Cameron Diaz & Ben Stiller movie about finding your true love after years apart and comical obstacles that get in your way.  What can we say, we’re suckers for a romantic story no matter how comical.

Something about (our) Mary…

Reverend Mary Calhoun’s specialty is creating memorable, fun, and well-orchestrated wedding ceremonies.

Before Mary graduated from seminary in 1994, she pioneered Seattle’s event planning field.  Blending her experience of organizing, writing and public speaking, Mary lends an expert, light-hearted approach that results in a seamless, high-spirited outcome.

Providing engaged couples with an extensive Ceremony Planning Packet chocked with fresh writings and invaluable tips, Reverend Mary teams with her clients to design a personalized and distinctive service.

Reverend Mary is the 2010 & 2011 winner of the Seattle Bride Magazine’s “Best Officiant” award and she is just wrapping up a special project for the Oxygen Network

Window to the Soul Ministry will be featured at Willows Lodge during Weddings in Woodinville, January 29th, 2012.
